About Us
Cimbalová hudba Richtári is a musical group founded in 2023, which breathes new life into traditional Slovak folk music. With a passion for the rich heritage of our ancestors, we combine authentic melodies with fresh, contemporary arrangements. Our goal is to create a sound that respects the roots, yet appeals to the modern listener.
We believe that folklore has its place in today's times. Each of our concerts is an invitation to a journey through time, full of emotions and pulsating energy of Slovak traditions. We connect generations through music that tells stories, evokes emotions and celebrates the beauty of our culture.

Milan
The leader and first violinist in our group is Milan – a native of Detvianska Huta. You can easily recognize him by his brilliant technique and the sharp tone with which he can make his violin resonate. He has dedicated his entire life to folk and classical music - he practices both at a professional level.

Marcel
Marcel, or Marčelo as the other band members like to call him, is an integral part of Richtári. He comes from a family of folk musicians from Hrochoť and music is truly in his blood. The velvety sound of his violin beautifully complements the overall sound of the group.

Peter
Beautiful and rich harmonies, precise playing, and always a good mood - that's our violist Peter. He is a kind of glue that holds our group together. He has been close to folk music since childhood and currently dedicates himself to it as a performer and teacher at a professional level. He is also the author of most of our arrangements.

Tobiáš
Tobiáš is Richtári's secret "ace up the sleeve". Thanks to his tireless work, we never have to worry about lacking the necessary technical support. Although music is just a hobby for him alongside his work and studies, his playing reliably keeps the tempo of the whole band. In addition, he is also a skilled manager, sound engineer, moderator, programmer, driver, and whatever else is currently needed.

Dalibor
A proud native of Klenovec and a representative of the folk musician tradition of the Malohont region, Dalibor complements the overall sound of the group with the ringing tones of the cimbalom. He likes to experiment in his playing and plays with elements not only of Slovak, but also Hungarian and Roma musical folklore, jazz, and cafe music. He also participates in creating arrangements.

Paulína
The only female representative in the cimbalom music of Richtári is our singer Paulína. With her singing, she can bring to life well-known, but also forgotten folk songs, which she enjoys searching for in songbooks and old collections. Her love for folk music has brought her to many stages and finally to the study of ethnomusicology.
